Continuing today with our mini series on prayer, we are going to be looking at a prayer that Jesus prayed that, at face value, looks quite haunting and a bit confusing.

This post begins a mini series on prayer. As I touched on in my previous post, prayer is an issue for me sometimes because I don't always know how to approach it. What I am certain of is that we are commanded to pray, Jesus prayed, and I have experienced many personal "answers" to prayer. Today we will be looking at praying in faith and what that means.
I made it into my early twenties before I had ever heard about Calvinism. I mean, I had heard about Calvin and I knew that "Calvinism" existed but I knew absolutely nothing about reformed theology and what it meant. On the flip side, I had never heard the word "Arminianism" either but had, unbeknownst to me, held to those beliefs without the title.
It kind of goes without saying that if you don't learn the lesson material in your class, you won't pass the class. Yes, other things like attendance and missing midterms will affect your grade (I know from experience- yikes), but I would argue that actually learning the lesson material is the most essential for passing a class.
